MARAVILLAS DEL MUNDO

 

The pupils of 5ª recently completed projects on the New Seven Wonders of the World.Each individual or team chose one of the wonders,researched it and then presented a project on it.

 

The projects took the form of posters and models and these were displayed for one week in the common area so that other pupils could also enjoy them.

 

 

 

 

The New Seven Wonders of the world were announced in Lisbon on 07/07/07 following more than 100 million votes to represent global heritage throughout history.

Christ Redeemer (Rio de Janeiro,Brazil)

The Colosseum (Rome,Italy)

The Great Wall of China (China)

Machu Pichu (Cuzco,Peru)

Apart from these seven wonders,the Pyramids at Giza were also chosen as a honorary member,so there are now in fact eight wonders!The Pyramids are the only ancient wonder that we can admire nowadays because all the others were destroyed or are in ruins.

It´s true that human beings have the power to destroy but also on many occasions we create extraordinary wonders.The new wonders demonstrate this.
